“Nairobi National Park”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

The Nairobi National Park is next to the Nairobi City the captital of Kenya. Driving to the park takes less that 30 minutes. One can see all the big five apart from the elephant. The Nairobi Orphanage is just adjacent to the park and a visit is most memorable.

“Safari Walk and Orphanage”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Really enjoyed the safari walk and got some great tips from the guides about where to look for the animals. If I didn't have the guide with me I would never have been able to spot a few of them! The orphanage is a bit sad, but mostly because the pens and cages are too small. Again though, make friends with a keeper as they will give you great tips and maybe even you will be able to stroke a cheetah!

“Drive through the Park and See the Wild”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

For those who want to see wild animals at close range and also take pictures of them. Drove through the park in the morning and saw some warthogs, giraffes, zebras, and of course the wild vegetation, not so many animals. I guess with a different timing I would see more. After the visit we went for a meal at the nearby Ole Sereni Hotel where you can have the view of the park as you enjoy great meals. There is also a curio shop in the Hotel where you can buy some souvenirs and meet with the local and international tourists.

Where else in the world, can you go to a national park that is in the city...complete with lions, rhinos and many other animals. This is a wonder for the local residents and visitors alike. IF you take the park tour...make sure you go on the jeep and not the bus...the bus is crowded and dusty and you cannot see out the windows...but the jeep is open air and only seats 8 people....DO NOT MISS THIS PARK....
