The wireless internet connection is horrible. the fee is 30USD for a day. (the competitor, New Stanley Hotel charge at 0.01Shiling per day).
I was sharing a room with my colleague, but we were given a double room with two beds lying next to each other.
Robes were not provided till asked. Bathtub is available, but there is no plug.
Some of the rooms have no hot water.
The bills are a mess.
Swimming pool is filled with warm water. I saw the steam in the morning.

LAICO_Regency_Hotel, Public Relations Manager at LAICO Regency Hotel, responded to this reviewResponded July 17, 2009

Thank you for having chosen to stay at LAICO Regency Nairobi.

We strive to provide quality accommodation and service. Please understand that there is extensive testing by all Internet Service providers in Nairobi city presently. There is a new fibre optic cable being installed to serve Nairobi and this has had an effect on Internet services offered temporarily.

By virtue of sharing a room with a colleague; thus you were assigned a twin room. Assistance is always on hand at the hotel when you need a change of room. Kindly let us know your preferences so we can assist accordingly.

Most of our rooms are sold singly and as such a second robe In the room is supplied on request. All rooms are supplied with hot water. When the water is not accessed it may cool in the system and you need only run it shortly for hot water to be accessible.

As for steamy warm water in the pool, it is quite the cold season in Nairobi presently and we have the only heated swimming pool in the city.

We take seriously to guest comments and feedback and promise to use the same to effectively improve our quality of services from check-in to billing.

Thank you again for your feedback.
