“Only for the feint hearted”
Reviewed April 25, 2012

It is the largest slum in Africa so make sure you have a reliable guide or ample security. Ideal destination though for organisations engaged in charity work or poverty eradication.

“Kibera - Another Important World”
Reviewed April 14, 2012

If you have a chance to visit the Kibera Slums it is well worth your time. Your eyes will be opened by both the extreme poverty, and the resilience and creativity of the people. It is not for the faint of heart and you will need a good guide who can guarantee your safety. Don't miss it.

“Slums are terrible places”
Reviewed March 12, 2012

Visiting Kibera is called "the ulitimate African adventure" . This is a terrible statement ; There is nothing African about slums and also nothing adventurous and it is a terrifying experience . It is dirty, nasty and terrible to find people living in those conditions
