“Great salads! Nice atmosphere! ”
Reviewed June 1, 2014 via mobile

A friend of mine recommended this place to me, and I'm very happy about that. It's just such a nice place to have a great salad (half salad is totally enough) and a fresh juice. Or a cinnamon roll and a cappuccino :) and the prices are fair (salad 440kes) the garden is beautiful and also great for families with kids because of its nice playground. The shop is also definitely worth a visit! It's not the typical "African maasai market" stuff but professionally designed, high quality work. I would love to buy one of those big day covers but I'm afraid my baggage allowance won't let me...
On top of all it's a social project which helps refugees to make their living.
One note : the café has only outside sitting.

Directions : It's a bit hard to find. It's next to prime Bank on your way to westlands, the second gate after prime Bank, red gate with a sign "amani ya juu".

“Good place to buy gifts in a pleasant setting”
Reviewed May 31, 2014

You need to know about this place to find it. It is tucked away on the side of a new bypass and is surprisingly spacious and pretty. It consists of a large gift shop - don't miss the bargain room! - and an open air eating area. The food is good and well served. This is an ideal place for a family as there are open safe play areas for the children. It is also a great place to buy nice presents where you know the profits are going to help marginalized women. It is right next door to the Pauline Press so if you are looking for a Christian bookshop it is easy to visit both places. Both places have plenty of parking spaces. Use Google maps to find the place and use the new bypass rather than River Road.

“Childfriendly shopping”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

Nice place to go and have coffee while the kids are playing in the playground. There is also a very nice shop with good quality gifts for kids and adults. It's one of our favorite places in Nairobi.

“My favorite spot in Nairobi”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

I have spent a lot of time in Kenya and I've never been anywhere like Amani. It's quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The ladies are kind, funny, and creative. Everything I've bought from Amani is high quality and last for years. Thank you, Amani ya Juu!

“a wonderful respite in Nairobi”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

We had lunch here on a busy day and stepping into the garden was amazing, with traffic zipping by just feet away, you felt like you were in your own world. the products in the store were great for gifts (you can buy online as well if you forgot to pick up something!)

I highly recommend a visit here. Ask for a tour and see how they are changing women's lives.
