There is the indoor restaurant with adjacent outdoor terrace and garden, for a la carte dining. There are also a variety of functions areas such as the Grand Marquee Sultan style tent, available for 'royal style' wedding functions, dinners and conferences. “A Relief for the Travel Weary”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

After spending 10 days traveling around Kenya (safari, coastal visit, etc.) and the long ride from the JKIA airport (lots of construction on the road systems), Tamambo was such a nice delight and surprise. Outdoor seating w/ personal coal heaters made the environment very comfortable. The food was fantastic as was the service. If you prefer a sports bar atmosphere instead of the outdoor dining - they have that too with a few different TVs around showing local sports.

“Pleasant property serving good food in the middle of Karen”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

I’ve taken many international guests to Tamambo for lunch during our outings in Karen, and the food never disappoints. The portion sizes are generous, especially the salads, and the quality of the food has always been great. One tip - you will most likely be sitting outside for lunch or brunch, and it is often quite cold. We always bring extra shawls, but you can also request a chiminea be placed by your table. Great place to relax and enjoy a nice meal!

“A Journey Back in Time Indeed”

Amazing place even though i was bit a disappointed by the limited stuff i was able to see because renovations were just kicking-off and so much of the stuff was stored away for safe-keeping. I wish more efforts would be made to acquire most of the original pieces as most are currently replicas and can someone attend to the decaying wagons outside that are rotting away and with them a rich piece of history?
