We often visit Village market to spend our sunday afternoon...its the best place for the entire family.
Kids n adults can enjoy bowling and playing pool...they have a great place for kids n adults to swim on a hot day...mini golf...go carting...swings etc for children.
A cinema is an added attraction...
For shopping there are many stores from Nakumatt...toy shop...clothing stores and exhibition hall which has mostly something or other going on.
The food court has the biggest variety...Indian,Italian,Chinese to coffee shops...other fine dining and fast food is also available.
The live band on Sundays lets u spend hours and hours there.
Tribe hotel is just adjacent...anothet attraction.

In short we just love spending sundays there esp my 3yr old.

“A great value tourist market”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

Attached to a shopping mall for the more conservative shopper you will find the Village Market. It brings together a variety of traditionally made gifts and souvenirs that are really affordable. The Market happens on a Friday (I think this was the only day that it was open from the information we were given) selling artwork, beading, jewellery, homewares, wooden decorations, Kenyan dolls/animals, traditional clothing, bags etc. It is a good idea to stroll around once without purchasing as many of the goods are repeated across the market and it gives you the opportunity to see what is available before your start bartering. It is a bartering market and most often the items are finally sold for 30% off the starting price. In Kenya, it seems that as soon as you ask for and receive a price then you are asked what you would pay for it. This becomes a contract of sale whether you wanted it or not! So I advise do NOT give back a price unless you are committing to buying the item. However the people are very friendly, certainly not easily worked up and enjoy the whole process of selling their wares. It is a great occasion if you like shopping - even if you plan on buying very little.

“Good food ,poor management”
Reviewed April 7, 2012

I take my family about twice a month shopping and dining out but on on all three latest occassion have had to call for security to enforce the non-smoking laws within the enclosed dining area of the food court. It seems that they are powerless to enforce this rules and I will reconsider my custom due to health concerns especially for my young kids.

“A good home away from home place”
Reviewed March 19, 2012

I visited village market with my family in December for an excursion. It is indeed a good place when you want to spent a day out with your family. My little boys enjoyed very much being in the waters at the swimming pool. The African dishes were mouth watering made to your taste. Lastly we ended our excursion by doing shopping at the shopping mall where everything is under one roof. I would recommend village market for a family day out.
