This is a very good restaurant with all the selection of a classic brazilian restaurant without the pretension of Carnivore. The food is plentyful and juicy. The salad bar allows to return when you like (Unlike Carnivore) and the price is very competitive.

Chose to go to Fogo based on the reviews here. The venue had a good mix of locals, Expats and tourists and it felt more intimate/less of a tourist trap than Carnivore. The decor and the level of service was however average. The quality of the meat was ok but the salad bar was a dissapointment with old and tasteless vegetables.

The times that I have been to Fogo Gaucho it was for my anniversary, valentines and with friends visiting Kenya looking for an amazing experience, I am currently looking for an excuse to go there again. I can say that I have not been let down by this place and all the times were very special and living up to my expectations. The pricing is very fair and I highly recommend it. Other similar restaurants have nothing on Fogo Gaucho so all I can say is keep up the amazing job.

Great food and well-prepared. The steaks are some of the best I've had. The chicken's also very good. The lamb's a bit gamey. The salad bar is quite extensive and very fresh. Worth a visit

We ate at Fogo Gaucho in Nairobi on the last night of our overland tour through Kenya and Uganda. Wow, what an awesome end to an amazing tour. Excellent value for money (half the price of the Carnivore) and such a huge spread; brilliant salad bar (we had one vegetarian in our group who raved about it), and what seemed like a never-ending supply of an assortment of meats (sirloin, fillet, chicken, gammon, deep-fried bananas, ribs, and even crocodile).

The concept is pretty neat too; everyone has a round card. The one side green with 'yes please' in Swahili, and other side red with 'no thanks' also in Swahili. When you turn it green-side up the watrons just keep coming at you with the skewers of meat, that is until you turn it over to the red. It works really well.

Two thumbs up, highly recommended! You won't be disappointed!
