“Amazing food, ignore the fishy smell at the entrance coz they cook amazing fish!”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

One of the top places in nairobi to find authentic kenyan food.
Their food is great and would recommend everyone visiting nairobi to atleast go to ranalo foods!!
Ignore the occasional fishy smell as they serve large volumes of fish to customers who dont seem to stop streaming in. And the music often local music is favoured by the patrons though can be a bit noisy in the evenings for some.
However ranalo foods is a place everyone must visit at least once for that authentic kenyan meal.

“HORRIFIC CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE”
Reviewed April 27, 2014

You walk in no guidance or direction. You figure out for yourself that it is self service. You find a table for yourself. The food comes without veges. Then they tell you that you order & pay for the veges separately. No cutlery no serviettes. The food is bland!!!Ok now you need a drink, so you look for a waiter, give him money then you get the drink. As if that is not bad enough, a "dignitary" walks in. You are asked if you are done so that "muheshimiwa" can sit. REALLy!!!!!!!!!
Rubbish, never ever setting foot their again.

“Average”

The chicken dishes were very tough and the ugali was well ugali. One person had the goats intestines and found them to be enjoyable. The chicken however was a real chore to chew.
Hey-atmosphere was great, the bee cold but the food-well maybe we were there on an off night.
