Recommended by a friend. Turned out to exceed expectations. Dinner was delicious and the atmosphere is great. The lamb in Phyllo dough was especially good as was the corn and mushroom soup... My wife liked the table side heaters as well. Will definitely return!

We were repeatedly told about The Talisman (and my husband is a Chef de Cuisine) so people are careful to recommend a restaurant to us, but The Talisman did not disappoint and, as a matter of fact, it was a sweet surprise. We had the slow-cooked Moroccan dish, the burger and started with wonderful giant prawns, fried....loved it all...but the best part was the Knickerbocker (such a NYC name!) which is a wonderful ice cream concoction with whipped cream, and melted chocolate (reserve your appetite for this dessert). It will not disappoint...the gardens are beautiful, but get a cozy seat next to a fireplace, and go at dusk, too beautiful to miss. My husband says that the food quality is very good, plus the presentation of the dishes is lovely!

Really enjoyed the food. Service was great too - they did whatever they could to keep me stylishly warm (with a nice and warm shawl). Love the location too.

The menu is more fish. Salmon was yummy. Nicely cooked. We chosen to sit in the open area and enjoyed green surrounding, the weather was very nice and a little chilly.
The resturant has several fire places in different locations giving a light heat to nearby sits.

I love this restaurant and it was my second time there. It's a bit pricy but if you want excellent food quality, it's the place to go. I'd say a Sunday lunch or brunch to chill in their beautiful gardens perhaps. Their coconut prawns and fish & chips are my all time favourite. Unfortunately expect your bill to hit a bit high 🙂
