If you'd rather be in the more quiet and peaceful west bank, this is your place. At a great value, Pyramids Luxor Hotel is a fine choice. An open-designed hotel run by Egyptian Mohammed and his Colombian wife along with mother-in-law and adorable baby boy.
The property is new-ish and well kept and clean. The rooftop terrace is delightful and complete with hammock and nice view of the Nile.
Wifi only worked for us from 2am-6am but it was free. This is the norm for Luxor. Some of the nights we had mosquitos but were given a repellent that made a big difference. Not a big deal. Bathrooms were nice, the hot water is limited. The hotel has an open-air design so most likely your room window will face the interior of the hotel. Also for this reason louder guests might make sleeping an issue sometimes.
The breakfast was one of my favorites! Mohammed was very accomodating with us since we were staying two weeks. He offers other services around Luxor and was never pushy with those offerings. The other hotel staff were kind, professional and helpful.
Thank you Mohammed!

My friend and I stayed for a night and it was an all around great experience. A great location right on the nile, the room was a good size and comfortable, clean bathroom with a really good shower, and a huge delicious breakfast! The real treasure here though is Mohammed the hotel manager; he arranged every little thing for us, was so friendly and nice and we had a great time having conversations in the lobbyand generally took such good care of us for our entire stay. Great little gem of a hotel, definitely recommended for your stay in Luxor!

We stayed several days and found the West Bank location to be extremely convenient, and much less touristy than the East side. The on-site kitchen service was also excellent for local food, and inexpensive. The manager was able to arrange guides and cars with drivers on short notice, so we saw everything we wanted without any hassle. Our only warning is to clarify whether they are accepting credit cards or not upon arrival (ATMs are nearby if cash still needed). We would definitely stay here again.

The customer service here is next level. We were warmly welcomed and booked a great tour thru Mohammad the nice hotel manager. Clean, great showers, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Food was great, laundry service and basically anything we needed :)

Stayed here with my adult son. From the moment we arrived Mohammad the manager made us feel welcome and gave us loads of information regarding tours and offered help with anything..on the day we arrived in Luxor off our cruise I became ill with an upper and lower respiratory virus.. After a couple of hours of coughing Mohammad was at my door with hot lemon drinks and cold and flu medicine to help me. Every day he went out of his way to make sure I was feeling better. He has become our dear friend and we hope to see him again one day. He is a credit to the owner of the hotel. the hotel itself is clean and pleasant. There is a mini market next door and a few restaurants near by. Ferry, felucca, and taxi all readily available to this hotel.
