Go in the morning or late afternoon, tombs are beautiful. Wander through the main street and visit the temple also.

“Interesting place”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

Quite interesting, couple of nice tombs with very bright, colourful decorations, the usual hassle mongers following you around trying to sell you tat.

“A sense of the past”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

This site is brilliant giving an idea of how ordinary people in Ancient Egypt lived their lives
The tombs there built by artisans for their families were fascinating
It adds the missing dimension if you just visit the 2 main valleys on the whole of that west bank area perspective

“Outstanding colourful tombs”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

The tombs were so well preserved that the decorations looked as if they'd been done only yesterday. The postcards don't do the place justice.
