“Outstanding colourful tombs”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

The tombs were so well preserved that the decorations looked as if they'd been done only yesterday. The postcards don't do the place justice.

“Amazing to see the workers excavating”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

Itvwas like stepping into a 1920s photo to see the lines of workers snaking down the cliffs of the excavations. We also loved the actual tombs and the best examples of bas relief carving. And our guide showed how the ancient Egyptians used series of metal panels or mirrors to reflect sunlight from the entrances to the deepest corners of the tombs when they were under construction.
