My husband and I loved this hotel! It is right by the Nile with an awesome rooftop bar/restaurant directly across from Luxor Temple which we enjoyed every evening. The food was excellent and thoughtfully prepared and the drinks were served with chilled glasses which was such a highlight. Most impressive was the service! From the gentleman at the front desk to the bussers and waiters on the rooftop, we were blown away with their kindness and hospitality.
We booked two days worth of tours through the front desk which were all reasonably priced and excellent. Our guide, Mohamed Tuthmosis III was incredible. He was friendly, informative, thorough in his explanations and never rushed us. He was so passionate about Egyptian history and took a lot of pride in his work. It felt like he got as excited as we were every time we switched attractions to teach us new things! He is a practicing photographer so he took awesome pictures and knew exactly where to go in the ruins to get the best shot! We were so grateful to experience the best of Luxor with him. The private driver they hired for us was amazing as well. He picked us up from the airport, drove us both days, and took us back in time for our early flight to Cairo. He was punctual, safe and spoke great English.
Overall, this hotel took away all the stress of planning our two days in Luxor. They combined our list of highlights into 2 comfortable days that allowed us to see everything we came here to see. I highly recommend this hotel as it became our home away from home for the three nights we stayed.

Nile Valley Hotel has an attractive design and it feels like a fun place to spend your holiday. From the gentle touches of local traditions or scenic sights painted on the walls, to the many plants, decorations and the swan-shaped waterbike at the pool side: it feels fresh and playful. The owners, Karin and Hamada, are concerned with the wellbeing of their customers and they will always make time for a friendly chat to check if everything's allright. The same can be said about their other employees, who are always friendly and hospitable, One of the cleaners always made sure to leave small surprises in our bedroom, like turning the fresh pillows in a toy elephant or a little man. A nice and gentle touch. The rooms themselves are spacious, with lots of room to store your clothes or other items. There is a good airconditioning system (quite important in the summer) and the bathroom is rather pleasant in size and cleanliness. The only thing is that the elevator to our floor didn't work, so we had to use the stairs. For my mother, who has a minor disability, this was a little difficult. I especially enjoyed the restaurant with its stunning view over the Nile and the copious breakfast we ate there every morning. All in all: Nile Valley Hotel is a very nice hotel to stay in the vacation spirit when you come back from the many stunning sites in the area.

But all in all:

The Nile Valley Hotel is the perfect place to stay in Luxor. It is ideally suited for visits to any of the historical sites on the West Bank. It lies at the water's edge, close to the many motorboats plying their trade on the Nile. It is also within easy walking distance to the public ferry terminal. Its rooftop restaurant has outstanding views across the Nile, as do many of the rooms. The air-conditioned rooms are comfortable with most of the amenities that one would want. The service is good and always with a smile, and most of the staff speak some English. The free WiFi is good, although better in the restaurant/bar than the rooms. The food was always well prepared and flavoursome, as well as being very reasonably priced. On top of all this there is a sparkling pool with sun loungers.

If one wishes to be picky, it could be said that the televisions in the rooms are not the latest and greatest, however for most people this would be irrelevant.

Room tip: The 20* rooms have a great view across the river.

We were very well looked after . My mum (79) me and my mum had a fantastic night here the food is fantastic and nothing is too much trouble to them I would definitely stay here again without a doubt beautiful hotel

We went to Nile Valley restaurant for dinner. Food was ok but they overcharged us on our food and drinks. Would definitely recommend checking your bill if you dine here. They were really dishonest and the waiter was so rude that we felt uncomfortable to say anything about the price and just wanted to get out of their as quickly as possible. There are definitely much better restaurants in Luxor and on West Bank and would not recommend this one.

Dear Michele,
Thank you for your feedback.
We are sorry something went wrong with the bill.
Dishonest and rude should not be and we would never allow that.
We are sad you did not ask for the manager to solve the problem.
We hope you give us another chance.
Kind regards, Hamada & Karin Khalifa
