Owner description: This desert valley contains the ancient burial ground of many Egyptian pharaohs. Among over 60 royal tombs is the famous Tomb of Tutankhamen that was found in pristine condition.

Your entrance fee entitles you to visit 3 chambers and it's worth finding out which are open on the day of your visit and choosing what interests you. There is some variety in the preservation of some of the tombs - but in many the colours are phenomenal and the detail is awesome. Nearly everyone has heard the story of how King Tut's burial chamber was discovered by Howard Carter (or his donkey - actually). When you visit the Valley of the Kings, Tut's tomb is an extra change in addition to the 3 that are included in your entrance fee. If you're on a guided tour, you may feel a bit rushed in your visit if you intend to see Tut's as well as your regular three.

This site is quite amazing, especially when you hear the history behind it all. If you can, arrange a personal guide opposed to a large tour group. It's worth it!

We visited 3 tombs which were able to give a good understanding of the brilliance of the engineers and the magnificence of the Pharaohs.

A must see site - one for your bucket list!

Yes, the monuments are worth the trip, but when the Operator charges 181 EUR for a 5 hour jouney, then I find t a bit expensive.
Even at these prices, when arriving at your hotel you will hear the usual word: "TIPS?" (!!!)

It is a bot out of the way so get a direct guided tour for this and try to get them to include Hatsheput also as they are not too far from each other. All these locations were excellent and very safe. Well worth a few days to stay here and do the lot. A great once n lifetime experience. Walk around here and take your time, if your lucky tag on to a tour takiggn place in your own language, great extra.
