We have just returned from three wonderful weeks at this hotel. As on previous visits everything was top class. All the staff that we came into contact with were polite and helpful especially around the pool where we spent quite a lot of time. The breakfast buffet was really good with plenty of choice and the waiters always remembered where we would like to sit and never failed to have de caffeinated coffee for us. Although we didn’t have an updated room, it was still very clean and comfortable, and a special mention and thanks must go to Mamdouh for his brilliant towel animal displays. We would also like to thank Amina who is always helpful and professional and a real asset to the hotel.

Stayed at the hotel for a night in April. Centrally located in Luxor. The room and bath room is ok. Dinner and breakfast are average. Only drip coffee available. The staffs are helpful but you have to be patient when it comes to order food or beverages.

The Nile Palace is in a good location with shops and restaurants nearby. However, Luxor temple and the souk are about 1.5km away. The check in was fast and easy. We had a deluxe front Nile River view room with a small balcony, but because of the location in a south corner, never got direct sunlight. Rooms in the front open up into the central courtyard. Rooms in the back open up to the Nile. There is an in room safe, mini bar, hair dryer. WiFi was included and the signal was strong and stable. The décor is a little dated and could use some updating, but otherwise clean and comfortable.

The pool is nice but the water was cold during our stay. You can order drinks and snacks from the poolside restaurant. There is also a waterfront café open in the afternoon for drinks and Shisha. A spa and fitness centre is available but I can’t comment on it since I never tried it.

There are some shops throughout the hotel, selling the usual souvenirs but at higher prices than in the souk.

Our room rate included breakfast. Served at The Nubian restaurant, there is a moderate assortment of fruit, meat, cheese, cereals, breads and pastries. An egg station can prepare omelets or eggs made to order. There are some waffles and crepes as well. The variety did not change much over our 3 day stay. Other dining at the hotel includes a Thai, Lebanese, and Italian restaurant as well as a French cafe. Dancers/entertainment perform in the courtyard during the evening. Other than breakfast, we never ate in the hotel. Instead we went to some good restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance that have excellent food at half the price.

Overall our experience was good and we feel the Steigenberger Nile Palace represents good value.

Dear lightningboy,

Thank you very much for having stayed at the Steigenberger Nile Palace during your vacation and thank you for the lovely pictures of our hotel. We are very happy you enjoyed your visit. We are sorry that the temperature of the pool was not to your liking; we stopped heating the pool as it is over 35 degrees Celsius during the day. We hope you will be joining us again soon, maybe you will opt for one of our newly renovated rooms and a beautiful felucca trip during sunset.

We stayed at the Steigenberger Nile Palace as part of a group tour booking.
Our room was a reasonable size with a small balcony that only just overlooked the Nile. It was also a lottery as which room you were allocated as some in our group had big balcony with lounge chairs and full view of the Nile River.
The bed was comfy as too were the pillows and the breakfast choices were reasonable. The Steigenberger is ideally located for walking to the main shopping street where the locals shop. To get there, turn left from the Hotel and then take the second on your right and walk up to the second street. It really is where everything is happening. There is a tourist bazaar selling junky stuff in lots of stalls at the first street crossing. If buying there, bargain bargain bargain. I bought something that was 25% of the starting price!

Free wi-fi at reception but it didn't work. NO wi-fi in room unless you paid for it. Our room key card didn't work so it had to be recoded. Our room was set up as a twin but only supplies for one person. Took three attempts over 90 minute period to get it rectified.

Dear lovetoootravel,

Thank you very much for staying at the Steigenberger Nile and thank you for your comments; they have been forwarded to our Management Team. Concerning the room, I would like to mention that we always assign the rooms that have been asked for, in case of a high occupancy though, we might upgrade some rooms to a higher level but no guest will ever be downgraded. In the last month, we have been able to double the speed of the internet and we continue to work to offer our guests the best WiFi service. We hope you will visit Luxor again and consider staying with us.

OMG!! This is a beautiful hotel that is directly on the Nile. Some other hotels have the road in between the hotel and the Nile. The lobby is beautiful and the staff are excellent. We were greeted right away and was checked in. Mustafa is wonderful and very helpful. We walked through the open courtyard that has 2 restaurants. One Italian and the other Lebenese. Mustafa took us to our room and was upgraded to a Nile view with a HUGE balcony. Great surprise. The room is spacious with a good size bathroom. It has one sink. toilet, bidet, shower-which has great water pressure- and a tub. Again the room is huge. And the view of the Nile is breathtaking. Especailly watching the sunset. We ate at both restaurants and they were very good. And the breakfast buffet has a great variety of meats, cheeses, breads, eggs cooked to order, foul, felafel. Enough to sustain us for touring the Temples. There were other restaurants there but didn't eat there. The staff are very helpful and smiling and very attentive. The only negative would be the wi-fi. But I believe that is everywhere. But other than that we would definitely stay here again!!!!

Thank you very much for having stayed at the Steigenberger Nile Palace and thank you for your warm words of appreciation. We are delighted to know that we have exceeded your expectations and were able to introduce you to the heartwarming Egyptian hospitality. We are also very happy that you enjoyed our restaurants Casa di Napoli and Lebanese 'El Tarboush' so much, as well as our Buffet restaurant 'Nubia'. Maybe next time you will give our Thai restaurant 'White Elephant' and Fine Dining 'The View' a try. Many culinary adventures to choose from after touring the temples.
