“Great food and a fabulous view”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

This restaurant is on The West Bank, not far from the camels. It's really worth a visit because of the excellent food, friendly service and the superb view of The Nile.
It's a family run establishment with tasty, fresh Egyptian food. It's fine for vegetarians and meat eaters alike.
What really impressed me was the delicious, full of flavour food. So often, the food in Egypt is monotonous and lacking in taste. This restaurant is different and well worth a visit. The portions are extremely generous and the prices very reasonable.

“Best in the West (Bank)!”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

This place is not only the best value on the peaceful West Bank of Luxor, it's the best food too - and you won't find any better even in the city itself. It's well worth crossing the river for, a 2-3 minute stroll south from the ferry landing, just beyond Mesala hotel.

The nicely decorated cosy restaurant has great views of the Nile, the owners, father and son, give a warm welcome, the service is quick and the meals (£E40) include soup, salads, vegetables and rice - more than you can eat unless you have a vast appetite. Beer (£E12) is cold and the cheapest on the W Bank. I ate here a dozen times and every meal was good. The delicious beef tagine is the best I've tasted in Egypt.

A friendly & relaxed place to go to enjoy traditional Egyptian food & enjoy a cold beer. The Nile Flowers is a family run restaurant, the owners wife prepares the food whilst his sons serve & look after the bar. The restaurant is situated on the West Bank approx 50 meters south of the ferry terminal, it is set back from the Nile but overlooks the river, worth coming to even if you are staying on the East Bank. One other bonus

“Great food, great view, great staff”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

Went there for my 12th visit tonight. Kareh Omar used to be the waiter at Al Gezera hotel and decided to set up his own restaurant. Hence Nile Flowers, apparently either his wife or he cooks the food and it is based on what is in season and always freshly cooked. Tonight my husband and I had lentil soup, 2 salads, 2 dips, 2 vegetable dishes rice, chicken and kofta for 40LE each and the beer was 12le. So I found the prices really reasonable and the service was excellent. Everything was piping hot and home made. His young son was clearing the table and he was so cute. Nice view of Luxor temple. It is a short walk from the ferry, turn left until you get to the water pump, which has a sign. Look right and up. It is set at right angles to the Nile on the first floor.
