This restaurant is in the perfect location with views of Luxor Temple but on our visit for lunch, the food was very disappointing. The signs outside say that the local beer is 8LE (it went up to 10LE during our stay), but that is excluding taxes. You’ll find tax and service charge added to your bill. Business was a bit slow when we were there and I think most people were having a drink rather than food. Service was a little slow too, and when the food came it wasn’t that good. One of our friends had ordered curry but he said it actually tasted of nothing! It seems to be that during these times after the ‘revolution’ local cafes just aren’t stocking up with food and drinks and only send out for supplies when they have customers to serve.
It’s a nice relaxing place perhaps to chill out with a drink, but I wouldn’t recommend the food based on what we had to eat.
If you don’t like cats, you won’t like this place or the other café/restaurant that is almost next door. I don’t have a problem with cats running about and begging for food, but if you don’t like that sort of thing then I’d advise you to stay away from here.
