This is the place where Howard Carter lived whilst working in the Valley of the Kings. We had the house to ourselves, which was brilliant. Filled with lots of artefacts

Our kind tour leader "Adel" took us to this site as a surprising gift and it was really surprising! Hard to believe the place that Howard Carter used to work in for years to unlock mystery of Tutankhamun's tomb is now part of history itself. The items inside the house are preserved in their early 20th century style. It was like everything is frozen in time. House is built in traditional Egyptian style. Just close-by is a replica of tomb of Tutankhamun. I think our visit to this place completed and flavored our trip to Egypt.

Going into this house gives one the strange feeling that he is still there, everything is virtually left as it was, see his hat, his tools, how he cooked, where he wrote, feel the atmosphere of the early 20th century in this house

The house is worth a visit , it has a very Victorian feel about it.
It has in the grounds an exact replica of Tutankhamen Tomb which is worth a visit.
