“An interesting place”

We thought we would stop off at Howard Carters house to take a peak.
To be honest there isn't really much to see in the actual house.
The best bit was the video at the beginning which gives his account of what happened around the time of discovering Tutankhamun's tomb.
Worth a stop if you have time.

Really great insight into how Howard Carter lived during his time in Luxor - loved it. Very nice gardens with shade - take your packed lunch

“Do not ignore this place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2013

Most people visiting the West Bank of Luxor miss this place out but it is well-worth visiting. It is great to see Howard Carter's "digs" and it is nice that he has been commemorated by his family and the Egyption authorities with this place on the West Bank

“Worth a Visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2013

A visit to Howard carters House may not be for everyone but I would certainly recommend a visit to this attraction. It is on your way to the Valley of the Kings and is just a Taxi ride from Luxor. Its cheap and shows you what it was like to live here in Carters time.
Just beware if it is busy the house can be crowed

“Don't bother”

Nothing to see. Even the in-house guide told us most of the stuff inside had been brought in from the UK.
