“Superb value for money and wonderful staff”
Reviewed January 24, 2012

We regularly visit Luxor and when in Rome so to speak we like to visit this particular restaurant, if value for money is as important as the food served then without question this restaurant wins all the accolades hands down.
The food menu is limited but what there is is served to the highest of standards and the staff ensure that the customer leaves both full and in great spirit.
The staff are indeed the lynchpin of this establishment, they go out of there way to ensure you have a fantastic experience at all times, so if you have money to spend or otherwise the quality and service will ensure you have the value for money and the authentic taste you are looking for, i would genuinely recommend you seek this Restaurant out laying as it does opposite the Stegenberger former Nile palace hotel and is in the heart of the main tourist hotel area.

“...well worth a visit”
Reviewed January 23, 2012

What a discovery!
The restaurant is large, clean, with well spaced tables and comfortable dining chairs. Don`t be put off by having to go down the steps. The food is delicious, well prepared and served, with a varied menu to choose from. We ate here several times on our visit to Luxor in January and were never disappointed. The Chef knew when it was our last visit and as I especially enjoyed the grilled sea bass, produced one of the best pieces that I have eaten!

The King Tut is a fantastic restaurant, it is value for money, the food is tasty, well presented. The service is excellent and it has a great selection of International and Egyptian food. We found it to be one of the best of our whole trip. I would recommend this to anyone.

“Our favourite restaurant in Luxor”
Reviewed December 23, 2011

We had dinner at different restaurants in Luxor during our one week vacation, and this was the place with the best food, the lowest prices and the most entertaining waiter. We had a plate of tahini and other egyptian specialities for starter and chicken and liver with rice for main course. And the waiter added crostini for apertizer and fruit for dessert on the house. The food was delicious and with water and three beers, the bill added up to 150 egyptian pounds for two persons. And with a friendly and fun waiter this restaurant is highly recommended. Better food than at Jewel of the Nile and at the Fortune Cookie, which we also visited. Sadly we were the only ones in the restaurant.
