We had a wonderful meal with some friends. They catered perfectly for four adults and 5 kids no-less. Laura was wonderfully with the children and full of stories about Luxor. We had a 20 minute power cut during our meal which made it all the more atmospheric and enjoyable.

Top tip: I didn't have the time to sort this out as we ate here on our penultimate night of the holiday however, Laura does do really well priced packed lunches for your return flight home. Worth considering especially if you are flying with Easyjet.

Whilst a little in the "backstreets" which is NO PROBLEM at all the warmth of welcome coupled with the quality of food really makes this worth a visit. Well done Laura & Mahmoud.

This restaurant is about 5 mins from the hotel, go up the road opposite the Sonnesta and your there, they do have sign's, but a great place to eat, We think it is better than the puddle duck and Joan's, although we did visit gem's and the poor man is struggling to keep the resaurant open such a nice man please help to keep him in open, he is on the other side of the steignberger and just walk a bit maybe ten mins.

TripAdvisor fans judged this well. This was the last of our earmarked restaurants but turned out to be the best and we ate here 3 times. It is a 'comfortable' restaurant where you can eat and relax at the same time. The staff are very welcoming and eager to please. They do everything possible to accommodate your requirements. All dishes are cooked fresh so they can be as spicy, or not, as you wish. I can't eat peppers so they cooked my portion without. We felt safe with salads as the menu points out that only filtered water is used in food preparaton, which was very reassuring. We thoroughly enjoyed our Egyptian set meal (£8.50 or £7.50 for the vegetarian option) but other diners were just as delighted with the English food that they had chosen to eat. An excellent restaurant for groups/couples where individual food tastes vary. Don't be put off by the walk to the restaurant. It's not very far but you may think you've walked past it as the buildings start to appear less commercial. A few more steps and you'll see the well lit up sign. So glad we found it.

Heard about this place from people in the hotel so thought would give it a try. So glad we did. Small, intimate and set down a back street when you get there you wonder what you've let yourself in for, fabulous food service and a friendly greeting is what you get. Quality is excellent and the price is right. Couldn't fault anything about this little jewel, they even gave the taxi driver who waited for us a drink. Give it a try, you will definitely go back.
