Having stayed here for the second time, I can see why you get the mixed reviews, it really does depend on what you are looking for.
A clean and comfortable room yes
Very friendly owners and staff. Yes
Great food. Yes
All the information you need. Yes
Great clean pool. Yes
Need I go on, great value great place don't be put of by negative reviews.
If people want 5 star then book that, don't complain when you pay a small price when you don't get the Hilton.

My husband and I stayed one night in this hotel. Although the photos look great and the reviews are good, ours experience was not that good.
The staff was really nice and friendly, but the room was not very clean, the bathroom was disgusting and the water was cold (December is winter in Egypt).
Unfortunately we do not recommend.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in Dec 2018 after deboarding from Aswan - Luxor cruise. The hotel has a pleasant vibe to it and the owner Ali was very welcoming. Since it was lunch time already he suggested us some dishes and got them prepared from in-house cook, and the lunch was superb! The cook is an Egyptian lady who prepares food on demand.. We ended up having most of the meals in the hotel as they were authentic Egyptian and were really good! I must say one of the best throughout our trip.
The caretaker, Barrakha was very friendly and he created Bonfire for us during nights and entertained us with stories and lifestyle from Egypt.
The rooms were also nice and clean though cold due to absence any heating element. Since we were in the room for very few hours it was okay with us.
The wifi is strong in the restaurant part and not so great in rooms.
Location of the hotel is good and is 5 mins walking from Luxor museum, 15 mins from Souk and Luxor temple. Karnak temple is 20 mins walking as well.
Overall a good experience, I would recommend to stay here!

The staff was very helpful to plan our stay in Luxor. The food was also very nice, typical from Egypt and very taste. A bit pricey compared to other places perhaps, but there was actually a lot of food, and the second day we asked them to prepare less food because the first day we couldn't finish everything, and they happily accepted. They also have a pool that we couldn't use because we didn't have swimming suits, but it looked great. The rooms are ok, Simple and some of them may look a bit old, but they serve the purpose. They are also doing some renovation works, putting an elevator to go to the upper rooms, the bathroom fittings were changed recently.. so it seems that the hotel will improve in the coming future.
