5 star hotel with rooms with views over the Nile River to die for. Impeccable service by all hotel staff. Fabulous pools and gardens, central to everything but away from the hustle and bustle of town. The ferry off the island is available 24/7. The restaurant in the tower on the 13th floor has fine dining. We had our 20th anniversary up there and enjoyed every minute. They also do high tea up there. Very reasonable by western standards. Loved everything about the hotel.

We liked the hotel, the ferry convenience is really nice, because you have a quiet stay with beautiful views. The service was really good. It was little lonely, as the old hotel is empty and getting remodelled, but no noise during our 2 day stay.

To be honest, I am glad that we picked this hotel. It's located on in Island but conveniently connected by free ferries (10 mins or even shorter, we never really felt that we had to wait for it). The hotel has fantastic view and very clean rooms. The check-in staff was very helpful, who efficiently organized our breakfast box and ferry for the other day. Another morning we ate our breakfast in the main restaurant. Great selection of food and nice service.

So, why only three stars? We met an extremely rude staff (someone I did not even expect in 1~2 star hotels) in the 1st floor of their tower building. In one evening, we walked from the main building to the tower since we heard a great bar on the 13th floor. Took a look and felt good, we decided to have a drink later after dark. Upon coming back, we asked for a golf car that the hotel provides since some friends were already waiting for us in the main lobby. Given that no one was at the reception of the tower, a security check guy (kindly) called the car and told us it's coming. Then a long wait for like 10 mins. We did notice three staff who were simply talking and laughing all the time during our wait, but no one bothered to check us. Finally we asked them whether they could help or if it's crowding we could just walk back. A gentleman in blue shirt basically yelled at us: "It's coming! Just wait!" We responded that we have already been waiting, but he was extremely rude and impatient. We felt so bad and chose to walk out. At that time the golf car finally arrived and another staff came up to check for us. I also asked: "Is it for us?" That same blue shirt guy again yelled out loud from the tower: "It's not just for you! Other people need it!" So shocked that we even forgot to respond. And we felt so bad and hence skipped the drink as well. Complained this later to the reception, got an apology while no one bothered to give me a follow-up, which simply means that this property is a bit far from a real 5-star resort.

The resort is absolutely breathtaking and the staff is professional yet makes you feel totally at home. The dining facilities are top notch and there are a lot of activities/venues to keep a guest entertained after dinner. Don't be concerned about the resort being on an island - there is ferry service 24-hours a day and the ride is totally smooth and peaceful. I highly recommend staying at this resort while in Aswan.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! I will always remember the views from our room or the excelent and quiet dinner we had on the terrace restaurant; we were even invited to some delicious Arab sweets and cookies.
