Once again absolute heaven, my third visit to this beautiful hotel, stayed 6 nights February 2014 never ceases to amaze, even though the hotel was busy due to Egyptian childrens school break it was still an over whelming experience, from the moment you step into the hotel the reception is warm and welcoming, food is exceptional as are the staff, rooms are large and spotless and clean, tea and coffee making facilities are available on request and are topped up daily, the views from
the tower in the evening are breathtaking, what more can i say, i hope to return later in the year! Anyone coming to this hotel will not be disapointed, ENJOY!

Room Tip: rooms overlooking botanic gardens beautiful views especially at night when everything is lit up

I stayed in this hotel with my family for two nights during a two week.trip through Egypt. The check in was very efficient, and the front desk staff was very nice. The Hotel is located in a place called Elephantine Island, right in the middle of the Nile, and the Hotel provides a boat to the city that leaves every 10 minutes, free of charge, and takes less than 5 minutes from the hotel to downtown. The island is very quiet and relaxing, so you will get a good night sleep.

The rooms are quite dated (they don't have a magnetic card to open the door, you can see some stains on the carpet and the TV isn´t precisely a LCD flat screen), the bathroom doesn't have a bathtub, but the size was good, the beds were very comfortable and the views to Aswan were very nice, especially at night. Every room has a small balcony with a couple of chairs.

The Hotel has three restaurants, L'Orangerie (The biggest one and a la carte, open 24/7), one by the pool (they serve drinks, snacks and very tasty seafood pizzas) and one at the top of the tower, that offers drink and fixed three-course meal menu. I had lunch and dinner at L'Orangerie, and the food was really good, the waiters were friendly and the prices, very reasonable.

The only negative thing I can come up with is the lack of free Wi-Fi, even in the common areas. This seems to be a standard practice on 5-star hotels in Egypt, but I must say that the charges were reasonable compared to the other hotels I visited: 99 L.E (14 USD) for 24 hours access.

The hotel is located in the Elefanta Island. Which offers beautiful views. The surroundings of the property are fantastic. The little restaurant at the bank of the Nile is great. The hotel was very clean, staff professional. good rooms. A very effective place. Relatively close to Abu Simbel. Of course they have Moevenpick Ice Creams !

Room Tip: A room with river view is a must.

Stayed at the Moevenpick for one night only, coming back from Abu Simbel and before starting a cruise. The place shows its age in its style but overall looks very well kept. Big room overlooking the hotel gardens and with a wonderful view to the west bank of the Nile. Beautiful balcony and very good beds too. Its location in the island is great, since you are away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but not isolated thanks to the complementary shuttle boat ride offered by the hotel. The ATM capable of exchanging money was very useful and saved time. I also want to highlight a very young trainee at the front desk, Raghda, who was extremely helpful, professional, kind and welcoming, always smiling. I'd happily stay here again.

I stayed there for 3 nights with my wife and son, and all of us enjoyed every minute of it.

We expected a nice hotel but we had much more: The first we met were the staff of the ferry and they had the usual quality of the people of Aswan: The warm and welcoming smile. The trainee at the reception was too good to be a trainee! The staff at the restaurant and bar were very friendly and they do their best to make you feel at home. We were given a superior room (although our booking was for a Standard room), and it was - as we requested - on the west side of the resort (overlooking Kitchenter's Island). We were unable to close the curtains because we could not get our eyes off the view!

We checked out today, and the three of us were sad to leave.

We did not have kids and we did not visit the Spa, but I gave it a full mark for both like every thing else we tried :)

Whenever we visit Aswan again (frequently we hope) our place to stay will be Movenpick, and for more than 3 nights!
