My wife and I stayed here as part of a Travel Talk tour. The hotel was clean and tidy the recption area of the hotel was huge and they had free wifi in the lobby area. The staff are friendly and we were greeted with a welcome drink on arrival.

The room was large and the bed was comfortable. A nice flat screen tv and a clean shower and bathroom with great hot water pressure. We had a great view of the Nile from our room and it was a 5 minute walk to the downtown area.

We had a Breakfast pack provided for our trip to Abu Simbel and it was nice and filling. Over all it was a great hotel very warm comfortable and welcoming.

We only stayed a night in this hotel as we were in Aswan for just one night before departing on our Nile Cruise. We found it cosy, comfortable and convenient for our purpose. We appreciated the free wifi offered by the hotel.

The absolute plus point is the fantastic view of the Nile from our room window and balcony. We could stay at the balcony whole day long and still be dazzled by the view.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Although there isn't a wide variety of choices, it was adequate. We chose not to eat out as we had to leave early the next morning (3am) for our trip to Abu Simbel.

Nice hotel on the fringe of the city not far from the centre and Taxis if needed were readily available Staff very helpful. My wife has walking difficulties and a wheelchair was provided, I didn't even have to push it. Nice pool with excelent views of the Nile while sun bathing. The room was comfortable and quiet with a huge bed. Roof service was quick and efficient. In all we had a great week end. Would definately use the hotel again.

• Apparently 5 star hotel, however lacks the lustre of a hotel of this calibre. More likely should be categorised as a 4 star.
• Rooms: Clean, beds comfy, no carpet so the rooms felt a little cold. Bathroom and showers were great.
• Location: On the fringe of Aswan town centre – 10 min walk from restaurants and other facilities. Quiet area with spectacular view of the Nile River.
• Breakfast: mediocre – pastries were not fresh. Variety was basic and not many options
• Room Service was punctual however food was inadequate.
• Service: Desk staff were very helpful and any other inquiries or issues that we had were promptly dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Internet: free to all
• Bowling and cinema – greatly disappointed when told the cinema and bowling complex was indefinitely closed.

A new hotel with spacious public areas, good airy main rooms, and a pool on the banks of the Nile which we had to almost ourselves. Unmatchable. The manager, his deputy and the. reception staff are excellent, and keen to put right the wrongs: we were grateful to them. But others know too little English in a hotel catering for tourists.
The restaurant lacks imagination. Breakfast is frugal (how many boiled eggs can you eat in one stay?) and although the dinner menu is easy to read under the harsh floodlights, it is limited to two choices. There is a wonderful first floor terrace overlooking the river and city, and with sensible lighting, furniture, and a creative chef the hotel could clean up. But then nobody goes to Egypt for the food.
Certainly it beats the Cataract for space and price, and it avoids the ferry hassle of the Movenpick, For a two night stay its a good base- ten minute walk to the centre., and to underline, the pool area is so peaceful. But it could be so, so much better.

Room Tip: The pool chalets have a wonderful setting, as close to the Nile as you can get, but suffer from the...

Impressed we were able to check in to our room at 8am. And a waiter brought me an excellent espresso as I checked my emails an hour later in the lobby. However, the hotel would not book us an flight, nor advise how to arrange sightseeing, nor change currency. They had an ATM in the grounds, but not working.
Having said that all else was good. It is so sad to see so few tourists. The people are desperate to get on with their lives post revolution. Egypt is very safe to travel through! A marvelous experience.

I booked this one night stay well in advance and got a good rate, but the hotel falls short of the promises it makes.

I booked a transfer from the airport and was picked up by what appeared to be a gardener in a small car. Therewas no complimentary drinking water in the room, the mini-bar was empty, the in-room safe was locked shut, the services directory was deficient in several areas, the pool was about 3/4 full of dirty water (despite the 38C heat), the lifts' buttons were backwards (ie you had to press the up button to get a lift to take you down) and the reception staff were not helpful. It's location is far from central - it took me 30 minutes to walk to the main part of town.

On the plus side the bar staff were good and the meal I had at the pool bar was excellent. Buffet Breakfast was quite average.
