Grand Pyramids Hotel

Nice Hotel with very helpful and polite staff keen to please, basic and tired room but compared with everything else in cairo it was good with a view over the pool area, and the added extra of having a resident camel around the pool! the holiday was booked through the co-op and we paid extra to have a pyramid view, which if you squinted hard you could just about see a small portion of the pyramid

Room Tip: top floor to get any chance of a glimpse of the pyramids

This is a ver nice place, they employees were very helpful and polite. It was like a small paradise in the big city. The room was very clean, had a balcony view of the pool. Overall I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Giza near the pyramids.

Room Tip: The higher the floor the better.

Of course, luxury is relative to what one spends... but for this price category it was a winner for sure. The room was spacious, clean, had a nice modern bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the pool area... with the bonus of having a limited but quite nice view of one of the pyramids. I agree that a higher floor is better, as the glimspe of the pyramid is better from a higher floor.

The included breakfasts were adequate, and eating poolside was a nice treat at night as the place has excellent lighting making for a true resort feel, an oasis in the big city for sure.

We stayed here for on two seperate occasions, and would not hesitate to book in again.

Nice hotel in Giza, if you stay on one of the higher floors you can even see a partial view of the pyramids. Affordable. We even had 2 or 3 weddings take place here while we were there, so it's probably one of the nicer hotels in the area.

I would like to thank the staff at the Grand Pyramids Hotel for a wonderful stay. The hotel room was clean and spacious with a balcony overlooking the lovely garden and pool area. Also a view of the Pyramids.

I would also like to thank the private taxi company for providing me with a wonderful service.

I had Mohamed Farid to drive me to the Khan El Khalili for the afternoon and also requested that he drive me to the airport. It was reassuring to have a great driver in the busy traffic.

Also I would like to thank Mohamed and his Camel Columbo. It was a wonderful added attraction to my stay at the Grand Pyramids Hotel.

Thank you!

This is my 17th visit to the Grand Pyramids Hotel, and each time I have really enjoyed my stay here. I have visited Egypt 6 times in the past two years for leisure and business, and during those times the Grand Pyramids Hotel has been my base in Cairo. Last year I came with my family, and my teenage sons were made to feel really welcome. I also use this hotel for business when travelling with clients, and have received excellent feedback about the hotel from all who have stayed here with me.
The staff are extremely welcoming, friendly, and efficient. In particular, the staff at the front desk help me to feel very much at home - they are approachable and always very happy to help.
There is a good selection of food available from 4 different restaurants, the rooms are generously sized with desk, lounge chairs, and room to move, the towels are soft, the sheets smooth and fresh. There's a fridge to keep your water cool, and the rooms I have stayed in have a great view of the pyramids, with their own private balconies. The bathroom has bath and shower, and a washing line if you like to wash your own clothes, though there is a clothes cleaning service if you prefer.
The pool and gardens are like an oasis amongst the bustle of Cairo, and from here it takes 15 minutes by car to reach the pyramids, which I like to visit each time I am here. The buffet breakfast is huge with pastries, hot food, omelettes, cheeses, fruit, and my favourite - ful, the Egyptian broad beans. Also, there are supermarkets and shops 5 minutes' walk away, which is good.
It is a great place to stay, and very reasonably priced for where it is located, and for the facilities it provides.
All in all, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling solo, in a group, as a family, and on business. It is a hotel that has a welcoming personal touch whilst providing great facilities. Many thanks Grand Pyramids Hotel for many enjoyable stays!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that looks directly out over the pyramids. You also get more sunshine in these rooms.
