“Perfect for a Cairo weekend”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

Stayed here for 3 nights in March to visit the Pyramids, Sphinx and Cairo museum. Lovely room - paid extra for pyramid view but when in Egypt....! Staff couldn't be more helpful - even though we arrived in the very early hours. we were half board and food excellent quality and choice.
Pool area very nice and plenty of space.
Security subtle and reassuring - barrier and sniffer dog every time we arrived in minibus. Felt very safe.
Highly recommend staying here!
No time to use Spa!!

Room Tip: Worth the extra for pyramid view

This hotel was awesome. Views of the Pyramids where ever you went. Wake up in the morning, open the curtains, and there they were emitting their wonderful energy over you. Staff were wonderful, both at reception, in the restaurant, or room service. The array of food was great too, so to suit all types of cuisines and tastes. The only missing when I was there, was the shops to stroll and buy, as they were renovating. so I saved a bit of money. WIFI was expensive, but I didn't use it. Showers were good, except for the water streaming onto the floor mat. Got soaked every time. Towels were replaced every day, if you wanted. You chose when you wanted your sheets washed too. Didnt notice any traffic noise from the road between the hotel and the Pyramids, which was rather busy. In Egypt it is customary that smoking is allowed in hotel rooms. So if you got one of those, you basically had to air the room, once you arrived. Other than that, awesome. Would definitely go back and stay there.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking the Pyramids for a wonderful view. Always check your room, upon arrival fo...

This is a beautiful hotel within sight of the pyramids. There is a view of the pyramids both from the front of the hotel and from the swimming pool.
The staff were pleasant and helpful, food was good.
Beware the shower! Designed so that the water runs along the gutter between the 1/2 glass wall and the tile all over the floor.
Wifi is a bit expensive - equivalent of about US $4 for 15 minutes.
Traveled with a tour group.

Very clean and spacious room with excellent staff.

Breakfast buffet spread was good, although wasnt a fan of the Western cakes which were rather hard.

Did not have the time to check out the spa services.

It's a good base to see the Pyramids - just outside the hotel, but that means that if you want to visit places within Cairo itself, you spend between an additional 30-45minutes on car travel time - which some may not like. Not much things around the area, there's a Falafel takeout place about 5min walk away if you get hungry.

Arrived very late, courteous and trouble-free check-in. Facilities very much geared to visiting the sights of Cairo, so breakfast was available from the early hours of the morning.

Fabulous pool with attendant bar overlooked by the great Pyramid.

Cairo is crazy ! But this hotel proved to be a delightful oasis as a base and to relax between all the explorations.

I gather the hotel is very popular for the celebration of weddings, each evening we were there this proved true (see picture). Wow ! what celebrations and cultural insight ! Free Entertainment !

Staff incredibly helpful, and facilitative !

Room Tip: If you can get a room with a Pyramid view

Could not fault this hotel at all its spotlessly clean which is more than you can say for Cairo the security is good at the hotel cars are checked before they can get through the gates.
We had a pyramid view room and it was well worth it to wake up and see the pyramids first thing.
Breakfast was ok it was buffet style, lots of choice mostly yoghurts and fruit pastries etc but don't bank on getting a full english they don't do them so you would be sorely dissapointed.
They made omelettes to order which were wonderful :)
At night time you can dine in the main restaurant or there is a Mexican too we eat at both and found them both to be lovely. The main restaurant has an all you can eat buffet everynight but you can also order of the menu too ! Pizza is gorgeous :)
The Mexican was lovely too the only downside was that the restaurant has a smoking and non smoking side ! both in the same room ?? However was not a problem to us as there were no other guests in there but I could have had an issue if there had been smokers in there !
To be honest people smoke in the main reception bar too! We did find the drinks to be a little expensive but I suppose its a city thing. At the moment Egypt is struggling so its a little dissapointing that they still keep the prices as high as they do.
