Just the shear beauty of it was amazing - the journey there and back interesting even on a boiling hot day!

When we visited (late May 13) we had the whole complex to ourselves. It was great!
Beautiful pyramids, a must see for understanding how pyramid construction developed throughout the Old Kingdom.

This was my favorite pyramid to enter. Though not as visually stunning as the pyramid complex in Giza, these pyramids are older and have a great history behind them. If you are tired of seeing ruins, then maybe you will skip these. However, if you're up for a pretty cool adventure (and low tourist traffic) go for it!

I was expecting to go across the desert to get to the pyramids but in fact it is just outside the town which was little disappointing. The guide warned us about the people trying to sell things, they actually get aggressive with you if you don't buy and It made me quite nervous. The pyramids were ok but not sure try were worth the trip

Not very far from the crowd of the Great Pyramids at Giza, these pyramids are truely awesome which were built more than 100 years before the Great Pyramids. Look at these brilliant structures dated 2700 BC and think about their technology at that time. You could have a fair idea regarding the evolution and perfection in construction of pyramids. One can go inside the red pyramid without paying any charge. No touts, no vendors and no unruly tourists. A must see for every one who like to visit Giza.
