Owner description: Next to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, this is the second-largest of the Giza pyramids; Khafre was the son of Khufu.

What ever you have read, seen, watched nothing compares to the pyramids in real life- don't get me wrong they are magnificent!...

it may come to a shock to some people that the pyramids aren't in the desert in the middle of no where. they are actually right near the edge of the city with slums, rubbish, sick animals and poor people in plain site....

i would suggest doing a 2 hour camel ride along the plains so you can see the pyramids from afar then walk up to them to get close and personal!! just amazing! be prepared have sunscreen and lots of water... make sure you carry some toilet paper and some backshish (small coins) as it normally costs to go into the toilet and not all have paper...

We went inside this Pyramid and it would not be recommended for anyone with lower back problems or neck problems as you have to want bent over double to get it. The architecture, mathematical lines and geometry is amazing and so exact.

The tour guide suggested it. It was quite cheap but we had lots of local fresh foods. I am a vegetarian and this was no problem.

There is still a bit of the original white limestone on the top of this pyramid, which gives you an idea of what all of them looked like at one time. Getting inside requires a strong back as you have to bend over for quite an extended period of time. Eventually you arrive in the burial chamber where there is a recessed sarcophagus and on the wall is a torch written graffiti from the famed Victorian Era explorer Belzoni.
