Movenpick Hotel Cairo-Media City
Ranked #12 of 42 Hotels in Giza
Reviewed December 21, 2013

After several complains noting improved. Hotel was almost empty, so a re-location to another room with warm water should have been the normal procedure.
Restaurant is good for Egypt. Wifi is very expensive for a hotel like this. In the Novotel its for free in public areas.

Room Tip: Take rooms at cluster 21 or 22, thats where the boiler is located.

I have organized Staff Meeting for my company at Moevenpick.. it was a great experience, the meeting room was good, the set up was really nice, the breakfast was somehow little bit but the lunch was really really good, with a bunch of variety for meat/chicken lovers and vegetarians as well!.. the landscape was nice too, over-all my team had a lovely day there.. i think i would choose them again for my second staff meeting ;) !

Great hotel, very warm and friendly staff.
Only negative comment would be about the mosquitoes.
The rooms are not spayed before the next guest checks in.
Great view from the hotel room and rooms come with a balcony so i am sure many guests leave the rooms open.
I was eaten alive.
Apparently mozzies are attracted to my blood type ??:-)

The title says it all! I could hear the people staying in the next room as if they were inside mine! And they were just speaking! The food, both breakfast and dinner was of very bad quality. And my back hurt every morning...

My husband and I stayed here for two days before travelling to Luxor and again for 5 days when we returned. The Hotel has a large classy reception area which outshines the outside of the building . The bungalow style rooms are really nice with table and chairs outside the rooms overlooking well looked after gardens . We found them to be very clean ,and all staff members to be exceptionally friendly and helpful . The food at the main restaurant was ok but preferred the Italian and Thai restaurants within the hotels . The hotel is very close to the Pyramids and Is practically across the road from the Grande Museum which is in the process of being built ,they have also just opened a brand new hotel adjoined to the older building . I would not hesitate to stay here if I came back to Giza .

Stayed for business reasons, food great although getting a coffee from the waiters is a once per day event. Service is very good from checking in to leaving, rooms are a little dated and not always clean (floor being an issue mostly), wifi is a disaster, expensive and a very weak signal.

I have stayed in this hotel 6 times in the past 7 months on business trips. It is more than adequate in most respects with appealing architecture. The rooms are in good condition but are showing slight wear and tear. The Hotel is spread out over quite large complex, there are two very large swimming pools so ample opportunity for relaxing. The gym and spa are great and the food is of a high standard. Put it this way, if you leave Egypt without getting a severely upset stomach then you are onto a winner.

The staff are well trained and very courteous. The location of the hotel is quite remote, it is long trek into the city centre, however it is ideally located for the the main centre of the Egyptian IT industry at Smart Village. The only downside is WIFI, the wired internet system is great but they have the most stupid and highly complex WIFI system which you would have to have a degree in nuclear physics to understand.

The Hotel is the normally quite cheap, it is oustanding value for money.
