we stayed at the oasis hotel in giza for 4 days after 5 days in athens, greece. we figured greece would be a safe nice vacation but we werent sure about egypt with all the news on american euro and bbc news .but we were wrong greece was a lot of trouble, riots, protests and strikes but egypt was fantastic from begining to end . we got our tours through viator, the drivers and guides were very good taking us to the museums and pyramids and restauraunts. they took care of everything to roundtrip from airport to handling purchases for us. the oasis hotel is a beautiful and serene place with a big pool lots of space for walking and a play area for the kids its very safe plenty of staff to take care of your every needs .they have a gym ,steam room and massages for an hour are 35.00 american including tip , it wa a great massage, plenty of lounge space all over the resort the staff were very friendly to us. when u get to your room check your bed if its to soft or hard they will change it for you. the beds are big and the bathroom is huge and there are chairs all over the resort so you can sit and tan anywhere even in front of your room, the money is good for us 6 egyptian pounds to the dollar ,te breakfast was a big buffet most american foods all you can eat breads, cereals ,eggs, cheeses, coffees very filling and very good ,everything was cheap at the hotel make sure you buy water at the resort before you go on a tour and leave very early we never got stuck in traffic cause we left early and came back early to enjoy the pool , so have fun and stay safe and happy travel's dave and marco

Organized a private tour and my host put me up here. Room was fine, grounds are nicely landscaped, and breakfast was great. Wifi is not free. One gentleman at the front desk was rude to me, otherwise everyone else was friendly and the wait staff went out of their way to be helpful. Just down the road from the pyramids, nicely located.

Quality of breakfast was poor and the dining room was very messy, with dirty crockery not being cleared away. Had unpleasant encounter with aggressive cleaner who was unhappy with the 'acceptable' rating given to the housekeeping service in the hotel's feedback card. Pool area and grounds are well cared for and relaxing. Not bad for one or two nights.

The Oasis has gorgeous gardens and a pretty swimming pool when the coloured fountain is lit up at night. It makes for a nice atmosphere when using the restaurants, bar or coffee shop. The service at this hotel is A1. The men go out of their way to please, whether it be to fill your coffee cup at breakfast or collect your luggage from your room when you are moving on. There looks to be a lovely playground for children and a nice spa and gym, which we didn't have time to try out. We did try a range of foods there and all were good value, but the breakfasts were delicious and offered a large range of everything nice to eat from all over the world.
The rooms are bungalow style. They are clean and comfortable, but I feel they could use a little upgrading in the Manchester department. I really don't like bedspreads in hotels because I know they are not always changed between guests, and neither are the blankets, so I prefer the hotels that offer doona s covered with crisp white sheets, and the sheets in this hotel were limp and tired. Towels were not generous either. Only one towel each in a twin share. An extra towel each person is always a good idea, especially when two women are sharing. The room also needs a jug and coffee/tea with cups as it is a long way to the coffee shop when you are tired. 24 hour room service is fine, but there are language barriers, so a jug would help travellers who are tired and just want to make their own tea or coffee, Otherwise, this hotel is fine and friendly.

Room Tip: We didn't choose our rooms, but we stayed there twice before and after a tour. I think the rooms...

On the outer edge of Cairo a most beautiful accommodation, mixture of old "Agatha Christie" mystery decor, ie: the telephone room, Piano Bar to every modern luxury you wish for.
Hosting several bars, restaurants and evening disco to sultry early evening piano bar entertainment.
Staff are exceptional and take the time to say "Marhaba" they smile that you are trying your Arabic, then reply 'Chokran' or 'Aswan' simple works that make a difference. Staff so accommodating, Breakfast to die for great start to the day!
You require transport to get anywhere, nothing in walking distance, the Oasis is its own self contained facility, across the car park, souvenir shop, papyrus shop, oil/perfume and jewelry shop, everything I saw on my 18 day trip through Egypt is here.
A Health Center offering the BEST massage, sauna's and total relaxation AND highly professional!
I was lucky to start with 3 days at the Oasis then travel and return to Oasis for the last 2days of my Egypt Trip.
Excellent venue to adjust and climatise yourself to start then end the trip with luxury - the health center.

Room Tip: Rooms all ground level, opening onto garden square excellent blinds to let in the sunlight then clos...

We recently stayed 2 nights at the Oasis Hotel in Cairo. The gardens in the grounds are lovely and well maintained as well as the pool area. In general the whole hotel was really nice and the staff helpful and friendly. Should you stay there try some of their fruit cocktails in the Thirsty Camel Restaurant. Delicious!

Room Tip: All rooms seemed to be in blocks overlooking garden areas. Very nice!

A very good hotel and very good location, away from the downtown busy streets and noise , the hotel offers a free shuttle to downtown Cairo. The shuttle stops about 300m from the Egyptian museum. Clean hotel, great landscaping. Hotel is just down the road from the Pyramids and Spinx. Staff are friendly, order a cocktail and relax at the pool in the evening!
