At First, I was worried to go Egypt (with the News), Samy (Owner) assured me its fine and this tourist region is peaceful. We were picked up by a friendly driver Mohammed. 40 Minute safe journey and was given a free upgrade to a better room. After spending 4 days I realised Egypt is pretty safe and its sad to see people not visiting, The news sometimes exaggerates. I was one of the few tourist in the area and I hope more people start visiting. As for Pyramids View Inn.... what can I say, Beautiful View and all staff are extremely Helpful. Ahmed was Helpful and Kamal is Such a great guy. Ive stayed in many hotels but this is a B & B, so do not expect luxury (Swimming Pool, Restaurants & Gyms etc) but I will rate this 5 for the peaceful and amazing time I had for such a great value.

It is a shame that tourists are reticent to travel to Egypt right now, because places like the Pyramids View Inn make recent political unrest moot. The preponderance of protests have occurred in the center of major cities in Egypt (these locations are now also safe with 24/7 military presence). With a stay at the Pyramids View Inn, you get a direct ride from the airport to their location RIGHT NEXT TO THE PYRAMIDS in Giza. This is not downtown Cairo - this is right next to one of the most iconic locations in the world.

Indeed, I will never forget drinking Stella beers on the terrace while taking in the sun set over pyramids that were just a stone throw away. I woke up every morning to the Sphinx staring in my room - it's that close. At $60 per night for a room with a pyramid view, don't expect luxury. However, the staff was about as friendly and accommodating as any staff I have ever experienced. They are constantly inquiring as to if you need anything. This is especially true of Kamal - just a kind, warm man that was always looking to help us out any way we could. This level of accommodation makes any residual fears about the political situation moot, as you can literally have all trips organized and all meals delivered to you, if you so chose.

With the lack of tourists, this is an EXCELLENT time to visit Egypt (we had the pyramids nearly to ourselves) and avoid the crowds, and Pyramids View Inn is an excellent lodging choice if seeing the pyramids is high on your list. Indeed, Pyramids View Inn literally allows you to base your visit AT the pyramids.

We stayed at the hotel for one night and had a great time. We were picked up from the airport on the day of the big demonstrations around Tahir square, but really had no issues at all in Giza (or anywhere else in Egypt for that matter). You can't beat the location and the view. It was nice to be able to see and listen to the light show at nigh from the rooftop terrace The rooms are simple and for obvious reasons it was very quiet, but they did a nice job in welcoming you. Kamal was great and Samy the owner was very responsive. Highly recommend it.

I wont talk about the view from this hotel because you'll see from other reviews its simply amazing.

They were waiting for us at the airport and Amr (our driver) was very nice. (Days later his brother who also works driving guests around, did a great job taking us back and forth safely to the museum and other parts of Cairo at a reasonable price, with the advantage that he stayed there watching after us and always with a great sense of humor because our travel dates were right after the coup and political demonstrations). At the hotel you are received with complementary bottled water. Rooms are clean and have A/C. Ours was Pyramid view. Breakfast included is green Falafel, not your typical eggs and toast, but very nice if you are willing to have a taste of the local flavor, also they included a boxed Juice. We were here for a week and they gladly asked us if we wanted to have something different for breakfast.
We had no problem with any of the food given to us here. Lunch and Dinner menu is brought from a local restaurant and served on the rooftop. I recommend the Kabab. (If you are used to eating small portions, you can share it as it's plentiful). As part of the hotel staff, Kamal is very attentive, hospitable and always trying to make your stay as pleasant as possible with a good attitude. Hotel has complementary tea/coffee and Kamal will bring it to you where you want it (or some wine, beer, shisha or anything you want really). The rest of the staff are also very friendly even when speaking very basic english, they will help you get what you need.

A short safe walk from the hotel you'll find the Pyamids entrance, various small convience stores, an amazing pastry shop and pizzaHut/KFC along with many tea/coffee shops.
Bathroom is very clean, but some rooms have it outside (still private for each room). So ask if your room has it inside (if this is an issue for you).

Overall, we had a very nice experience, we met awesome people, ate pretty good and enjoyed our stay without problems.

Room Tip: Pick the pyramid view rooms. Worth the extra money for a wake up view from bed. Room 101 is spacious.
