Its not the cheapest of the cheap in Cairo but a great value. The staff are very friendly and helpful particularly the restaurant staff, just stay clear of the bellhop. I was picked up as promised at the airport by the hotel driver Baseem ( a very pleasant fellow) and returned for about 3£. Convienient to central Cairo in a nice area, only a few steps from an English speaking supermarket.

The tours are ok but you will be shuffled around to various 'friend's' shops. If you have little experience in the region the tours take the stress off sorting things out from transportation to dealing with the entry procedures to various sites. However if you are more competent it would be much cheaper just to arrange things for yourself.

Location is not perfect in the quieter el-Mohandeseen area but it has some good shopping and restaurants in the neighbourhood, however its cheap and quick to go downtown. Rooms are OK, clean and roomy. The service is excellent, the staff is constantly on their toes. Small hotel, small prices, great value. Thanks for a great time, I'm definately coming back!

The service was excellent and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and good sized and the bed was firm but the towels were thin and scratchy. The free breakfast was tasty. We really liked the special attention given to decorating the bed each time the room was cleaned.

While there, we took advantage of two of their reasonably priced tours (the pyramids and museums) We would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a clean and affordable place in Cairo .

This hotel was used for the start and end of a recent Egypt tour.

First impressions aren't great, but the hotel itself is pretty good. Rooms are pretty big, food is decent and the hotel staff are really helpful.

Just down the road is an okay-ish restaurant called Laguna (best Turkish coffee) and a small donor-style kebab place which is excellent.

Pros:
*excellent 5 star service
*clean spacious rooms
*free wifi
*does not charge an arm and a leg for in room snacks - an important detail when you're desperate for water

Cons:
*location is not ideal as there is not much to do or eat in the immediate area, but cabs are cheap so not a huge deal
*walls are VERY thin - sounds like you have the windows open all the time so if you're a light sleeper this will be an issue, especially when there are frequent calls to prayer
