We were taken here by our tour guide, prices are higher than those around other parts of Egypt. But you can haggle all the prices down if you find something you must have. All the shops sell basically the same stuff so don't be afraid to move on if the shopkeeper refuses to budge on price. Gets kind of crowded without the amount of people here, so keep an eye on your pockets. Easier when you're part of a group, as its not the easiest place to navigate alone.

Best place for tourist to buy Souvenirs. you need to bargain for 40 to 50% & if that shopkeeper agrees then take it because if you leave & come back again he will not give you in the same agreed price. you should go in the evening when the whether is pleasant & you will enjoy haggling.

I was really hoping to get some nice souvenirs here but the traders must of thought I was born yesterday 3 or 4 different places I went too looking to buy a few things that I had seen in other markets in Egypt yet here they started the pricing off about 200% higher.
I would do the usual and walk away while they would then chase me and say ok ok what price but the fact they to me they tried to mug me off in daylight lost them my custom.
That being said its a safe environment to go and visit.

It is a nice market to get some accessorize but I advice you always not to be alone there and better to be with an Egyptian tour guide and always they sell with high price better to lower the price as much as you can
