While in Cairo for business, i was walking and stumbled upon Pizza Mia. As an italian, food conservative expatriate i usually tend not to try random "italian" restaurants around the world, firstly because i want to try new local things secondly because i usually don't trust "italian" food abroad. Since i had to kill an hour i stepped in full of my italian "know-it-all prejudges" and i was really surprised. Pizza al taglio (slices of pizza to go) is common in italy but quite rare abroad. Ive actually seen the first one in trendy east london just last year so i was amazed to see such an interesting model in Cairo city. Well... i have to say that the quality of pizza is well above average italian pizzerias. A must in town if you're looking for some proper food from Belpaese.
