“Authentic taste, good restaurant management”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

Osmanly is probably the only restaurant in Cairo serving authentic Turkish food. As a regular of top restaurants in Cairo I definitely recommend it for anybody looking for a high quality meal.
The good: unspoiled taste, excellent food quality; good service; excellent restaurant Manager, Ms. Aynur made our evening very special. We were impressed by her professionalism, the elegant service and the grace with which she solved a small incident with my desert. A nice touch was the jasmine scented water offered to refresh our hands before the meal and the superb cinnamon spiced pomegranate sorbet served between courses. All food was absolutely delicious and for sure, we had the best Kunafa in Cairo.
The bad: decor is mediocre, no view and a little bit pricey for this atmosphere. Lowering the prices or offering more for money will help the restaurant to stay in the hard competition with much nicer restaurants in the nearby Four Seasons hotel. However, don't miss the excellent food experience; with the harp music around and the nice service you will enjoy a delightful evening.

“Really tasty food in comfort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

We are fortunate to be staying in the Kempinski Hotel and having arrived from the airport late preferred to just stay in, eat and go to bed. Due to the situation in Cairo right now there aren't many tourists so the restaurant was quiet, but the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We ordered the mixed cold mezzo to start. A large selection is brought to your table and you choose however many dishes you want for £2 each dish. Each was wonderfully fresh, with subtle tastes. Our mains were a delicious lamb kebab wrapped in submerging and topped with tomato sauce, and rice and pine-nut stuffed chicken. This was really good food and I thought, good value as I am usually wary of eating in overpriced hotel restaurants. The Turkish coffee flavoured with cardamom was pronounced great and we loved the hand washing with rosé water before we started. We might start doing that at home!!

“Great food, average atmosphere..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

We enjoyed our meals so much but wasn't the bestchoice for an anniversary. Price was a bit over-rated when related to atmosphere. If it were somewhere else I would've been convinced. Food was tasty though.
