Sitting in a spectacular setting, an old medieval looking building with balconies all round an enclosed courtyard we sat an waited not knowing what to expect, we had never heard of whirling dervishes before but had been told they were spectacular and world famous. Overall the show is loud, the costumes spectacular and the dancing amazingly skillful, how anyone can keep spinning the way they do and do the tricks they do is beyond belief. But honestly to me it did go on a bit long and I was ready to leave half an hour before the show finished. add to that, the chairs we sat on were broken and on an uneven floor it wasn't very comfortable. Yes worthwhile going to, sit in the middle and make sure your chair doesn't fall apart under you. And the music is mainly at a fairly high frequency (think bag pipes) which can be quite piercing over a long period, ear plugs help filter those high frequencies and make the sound easier to bear.
