The Attaba souq, or Attaba Market, it is a market in down town of Cairo, where you should go very early, by cap, if you have a car there is a very big park building inside the market, be careful for your money as it is like any crowded market in the world, avoid June, July, August as weather is already high "34C" so if it is your vacation time, so take an umbrella, and be there at 8am...sellers r there since very early, anyway, the market has several streets coming from the main one, each is specialized in selling special item... like if you are looking for jewelery beads and accessories... all in one street, if you are looking for bathroom items and accessories ask for the specific street, you will walk a lot, buy a lot, it is a little China... but managed by Egyptians, u can find very cheap gifts, pajamas, Egyptian belly dancers suit, very cheap jeans, plastic followers... I went there to buy some tools for my jewelery making project, and found all what I need, people r helpful, but a lot of bargains! in all cases, prices already r cheap, I always go there to buy all unfounded items in normal malls or hyper market, and i don't bargain. Enjoy
