We stayed five nights at the Bella Luna, and will definitely stay here again. The location in the heart of Cairo is convenient and safe. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with good A.C and plenty of hot water in the shower. This is not a luxury hotel and the entrance can seem a little rough the first time you enter, but a great hotel to base yourself in Cairo. The breakfast was fine and they sell cold drinks. We had a free shuttle from the airport (based on staying a few nights) and the staff helped organize several trips for us. Everything we had hoped for when booking the hotel !

The hotel is located close to downtown Cairo. The management is friendly and helpful. A good option for a transit stay if you are traveling by bus or train the next morning. The roadside cafes in the vicinity that serve coffee and shisha are not to be missed.

Friendly staff, good price, excellent location. Just be warned of two things. The staff all smoke. The entrance to the building is absolutely filthy. Only really suited to backpackers on a budget.

The location is excellent and there are loads of restaurants around here to get great food. Nobody can speak English though so not particularly easy.

This hotel in amazing! We stayed at the Bella Luna three nights in total, two at the beginning of our trip and one at the end. We were able to book everything over email and they suggested assistance with things we never thought of. The hotel arranged our airport pick up at a much lower rate than a taxi ( and later our ride back to the airport). They also helped us hire a private driver to take us to Giza, Saqqara and Memphis.
The hotel itself is located in downtown Cairo within walking distance of the Egyptian Museum and a lot of restaurants and cafes. The rooms were always neat, clean and tidy with free wifi. The breakfasts were served fresh every morning, and were absolutely delicious along with strong coffee to fortify you for a day of sight-seeing!
All in all, I definitely recommend staying here, great quality for money!

Room tip: Have the hotel arrange your transfers to and from the airport

Actually it is on the 5th floor. They have a lift, as well as stairs. Free WiFi and a simple breakfast. They offer free pickup from the airport, if you book for more than 3 days. Return to the airport is 13 USD. They offer help with booking tours through their own people. Also has a kitchen for light usage. Bottled water, some soft drinks and and postcards are available for sale. Everyone speaks good English and the front desk is open 24 hours a day.

Room tip: Room 44 has is ensuite and away from the street and traffic noise
