Friendly staff, good price, excellent location. Just be warned of two things. The staff all smoke. The entrance to the building is absolutely filthy. Only really suited to backpackers on a budget.

The location is excellent and there are loads of restaurants around here to get great food. Nobody can speak English though so not particularly easy.

This hotel in amazing! We stayed at the Bella Luna three nights in total, two at the beginning of our trip and one at the end. We were able to book everything over email and they suggested assistance with things we never thought of. The hotel arranged our airport pick up at a much lower rate than a taxi ( and later our ride back to the airport). They also helped us hire a private driver to take us to Giza, Saqqara and Memphis.
The hotel itself is located in downtown Cairo within walking distance of the Egyptian Museum and a lot of restaurants and cafes. The rooms were always neat, clean and tidy with free wifi. The breakfasts were served fresh every morning, and were absolutely delicious along with strong coffee to fortify you for a day of sight-seeing!
All in all, I definitely recommend staying here, great quality for money!

Room tip: Have the hotel arrange your transfers to and from the airport

Actually it is on the 5th floor. They have a lift, as well as stairs. Free WiFi and a simple breakfast. They offer free pickup from the airport, if you book for more than 3 days. Return to the airport is 13 USD. They offer help with booking tours through their own people. Also has a kitchen for light usage. Bottled water, some soft drinks and and postcards are available for sale. Everyone speaks good English and the front desk is open 24 hours a day.

Room tip: Room 44 has is ensuite and away from the street and traffic noise

If you’re wanting an inexpensive hotel that is clean and safe while in Cairo, this it! In the heart of Cairo, walking distance to the Egyptian Museum and Tahrir Square, hundreds of places to eat and centrally located for Uber and cab rides. The staff is friendly and eager to assist with any questions and travel needs! If you are wanting pampering, book a room at the Fours Seasons at $200 a night. If you’re on a budget like me, look no further! Hotel Bella Luna was perfect for my 14 night stay! Bo Taylor, Oklahoma City

There is nothing negative in this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Perfect location 10 mn from Tahrir square, 20 mn from Ramsis train station. Safe area. Noisy street but option for a courtyard side room. Clean room. I will return at Bella Luna.
