Nice hotel in downtown Cairo. We stayed for a week in October and the hotel was reasonably quiet. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little hard to find at first and looks really run down from the outside/communal stairway, but is fine once you’re on the 3rd floor. The lift to get there is an experience!
We stayed in room 305, a little way from reception - it was very spacious. We had a double and 2 single beds! There were large balcony doors and an air conditioning unit. There was a lot of noise from the street at night, but it’s doentown Cairo so what else would you expect?!
For Cairo it felt reasonably clean, but I guess the bathroom was a little run down. Perfectly fine for our needs though - and you get what you pay for!
The hotel arranged transfers to and from the airport - this all went as planned and we were happy with the service.
The breakfast was basic, but more than enough for what you need - 2 bread rolls, an egg, cheese spread and fig jam, with tea or coffee. Soft drinks and water are available to buy in reception for reasonable rates.
Overall we were very pleased with Bella Luna for what we paid!
