There is nothing negative in this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Perfect location 10 mn from Tahrir square, 20 mn from Ramsis train station. Safe area. Noisy street but option for a courtyard side room. Clean room. I will return at Bella Luna.

Stayed here 3 weeks in November. I one of the busiest parts of Downtown Cairo but not at all expensive. Private room with ensuite, A/C, good wifi, simple breakfast, laundry for a few EGP by the piece. Free car pick up from airport. Rooms are clean. Large twin room, secure. Thick wooden shutters shut out the noise of the street below. The entrance is through a couple of jewellers shops into a courtyard and up in a lift (antique and few safety features). On arrival was met at the roadside and my bags carried up to my room. People here from many countries. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby and three Metro stations in easy reach. Not far from Tahir Square and the National Museum

Room tip: Try to get a room away from the road

Nice hotel in downtown Cairo. We stayed for a week in October and the hotel was reasonably quiet. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little hard to find at first and looks really run down from the outside/communal stairway, but is fine once you’re on the 3rd floor. The lift to get there is an experience!

We stayed in room 305, a little way from reception - it was very spacious. We had a double and 2 single beds! There were large balcony doors and an air conditioning unit. There was a lot of noise from the street at night, but it’s doentown Cairo so what else would you expect?!

For Cairo it felt reasonably clean, but I guess the bathroom was a little run down. Perfectly fine for our needs though - and you get what you pay for!

The hotel arranged transfers to and from the airport - this all went as planned and we were happy with the service.

The breakfast was basic, but more than enough for what you need - 2 bread rolls, an egg, cheese spread and fig jam, with tea or coffee. Soft drinks and water are available to buy in reception for reasonable rates.

Overall we were very pleased with Bella Luna for what we paid!

The rooms were spacious and cute. Breakfast was a little small. Staff could be difficult but were not overall horrible. Good location but nice and quiet. Would not recommend putting food in the communal fridge because someone ate our food.

This was my 30 year reunion visit to Cairo Ismailia and the Nile cruise. My wife picked the Bella Luna for its location in central Cairo. As reeducated Americans from Hostel living in China, Vietnam, Korea and Turkey we discovered that customer service was way more important than the affordable price. Soliman and staff offered us full service bilingual help worth three times the room rent. Walking directions to the bestest restaurant, Fafella, the Egyptian Museum were easy but the car and driver trip to Ismailia, 120 km away and unfamiliar to Soliman's crew was quickly and professionally arranged.

The Bella Luna acted almost as our legal counsel straightening out our Nile Cruise train to Luxor bookings and fees. I gave the Bela Luna five stars because I felt they exemplified the "make a friend" sales philosophy.
