Our boat was the Movenpick hotel. The stay was great, our room had a great view of the Nile that we savoured for a week during our stay on board :) we met some lovely people from around the world and enjoyed the famous Movenpick ice cream on board every day!

The balloon trip started just as the sun was rising. It was amazing to see all the temples, the farmlands and the arid area of the Valley of the Kings from the air. The price we were charged was 500 Egyptian Pounds (about US$80) and it lasted about an hour or so. Magnificant sunrise! The name on the basket of the balloon was: ALASKA BALLOONS: -------

It's the first day of Ramadan,we feel the need for some contemplation, where better than Medinet Habu?First the ferry ride to the West BankLE1,totaly cheap, enjoyable and good time for some snaps.
Short taxi ride, purchase tickets and into Medinet Habu we go.
WOW!!! what a place, its 5 completely different sites in one. There's a palace too!
Have to explain tho',its the tranquility and difference about the place that makes it an ideal way to spend a day chilling out.Read up before you go,its well worth while.Wish i could live there!

I recently visited Aswan and Luxor in Egypt, although there were several places that i would advise people to visit within these cities as they are very picturesque, the locals pretend they are nice and helpful people. However, they are just looking to rip you off. Obviously we all need to purchase water, food, etc.
When you go in to shops and restaurants the locals tend to increase their prices five fold. Not good, as usually there are no prices on things when you go to buy them, the shop owners / staff charge exceptionally high prices for everything.
If you do decide to go to Aswan and Luxor try and take everything that you'll need while there, that includes water, confectionery items and cigarettes if your a smoker.
