“A very comfortable stay”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

We stayed three nights here and, honestly, it compares with any of the great hotels around the world. The rooms were large and very comfortable with premium beds and bedding, complementary robes and slippers, huge plush towels, high-end bath products, etc. The staff was very courteous and eager to help, switching us to a better room without a fuss, setting up dinner reservations, surprising us with an anniversary treat, and the butler service really is top notch (yes, you have a butler at your beck and call - thank you Saan). The food was very good - much better than "hotel" food. Security was good but not intrusive. If the building is a little old, it's still in good condition and the inside is appropriately finished for a hotel of this caliber. Our 7 y.o. Son loved the complementary movies on demand and the rooftop pool with a view over the Nile. We would love to come back - we felt quite pampered.

Room Tip: I would agree with other travelers that staying on an upper floor and away from the river have no tr...

I recently visited Cairo for a 2 week business trip. We were hosted in the grand Kempinski hotel, on the River Nile. Best bed & pillows in the business - slept like a baby despite bombs going off and all the Egyptian unrest! Returning in 4 weeks!

We selected the Kempinski hotel for its location on the Nile Corniche Road, not far from Egyptian Museum and Tahrir Square.
This choice proved great.
Kempinski offers service of very good level while being of reasonable size.
We selected on purpose rooms with a "Madina" view (town view) to avoid the noise of corniche road. Luckily from the rooms's balcony we coud see the Nile river anyway.
Rooms offer enough space. Bathroom is just perfect. The room is soundproof: no noise from outside to disturb the tired tourist. The bed and pillows are really fine enabling a good sleep at night.
Breakfast buffet is not huge but fairly sufficient for a good morning kick-off.
We definitely will book this hotel for our next visit in Cairo.

Room Tip: Better choose a room with town view to enjoy quiet nights

Last Valentine, Kempinski had a special package which we took advantage of, me & my wife. I included lunch or dinner on valentine's day, spa for 2, & breakfast next day. The hotel is amazing In all aspects & it was really a night to remember. Will do it again for sure.

Stayed here for business 3 nights and opted for a room overloocking the river Nile. My fault, it gets loud from the Nile Corniche Road very early in the morning - so if to avoid that you can opt for a room at the rear side of the building overloocking the rather dull neighbourhood. Beside that the hotel is very good. Staff very friendly and will greet you by name when you arrived and during your stay always eager to please. The breakfast is of good choice and quality and allthough buffet style you will be ask for what you want and the waiter will bring to you. I didnt use the restaurant because I like more the typical restaurants which have a connection to the city/country where you are, so I went to a Lebanese restaurant (La Taboula) just 100 m around the corner. I used the hotel shuttle service which I preffered rather then using a taxi.
The car is much nicer and you can have a chat with the driver and it wont you cost that much more.
Next time in Cairo I will stay there again.

Room Tip: If you like it more quite ask for a room in the upper floor at the rear

We had a Nile view room and found the hotel perfect. They were very helpful checking us in early and letting us check out late. The bedroom was large, with a great view and everything was just what we wanted - a comfortable bed, films on the television, well stocked bathroom. The rooms were cleaned frequently and everything provided was included in the cost. Breakfast was extensive, varied and fresh. The roof-top pool was rather small, but the sauna was great, and very welcome. It was the perfect way to end a great holiday.

Dear our esteemed Guest,

Thank you for the precious time taken on TripAdvisor.

We appreciate your constructive feedback.

Your comments are related to the construction of the building which can not be amended.

However the Hotel provides personalized services as a prime location and we are proud to be the only boutique Hotel in town.
