We are infinitely glad that we found this place. After a day and a half of searching through seedy and completely dilapidated hotels, we were about to give up when we stumbled upon this fantastic little gem. The staff were so laid back and accommodating ("Everything is easy"), the moment we set foot inside the hotel we felt like we were at home, totally oblivious to the chaos and dusty bustle of the streets outside. Location couldn't be better, with most of the rooms literally with a 'museum view', the rooms and bathrooms were clean and in working order, and the breakfast was minimal but nice.

This place is a highlight because of the people that run it. We quickly realised how important it is to have someone you can turn to for good advice on tours/ taxi prices/ itineraries etc. and we found that we could trust the staff at Museum View. They were absolutely amazing!!!!

Thanks a lot to Amir, Ahmed and the guys (we're a bit poor with remembering names but we'll never forget your smiling faces!)

Couldn't recommend this hotel enough. A true gem of Cairo.

As a single female traveller I felt totally at home here. The owner is really friendly and speaks perfect English. All the staff went out of their way to look after me and make sure that I was ok and didn't get any hassle. I would totally recommend this place for everyone - especially single travellers. If you don't know what to do when you are in Cairo, trips can be arranged at reception. Would definately go back if I am in Cairo again.

Lets talk about the good things first! People in the hotel are friendly and helpful in general! The price for a room may be cheaper than other hotels nearby. The location is good, as it is just opposite to the Egyptian Museum and near the Metro station. The internet is cheap!

The room was a bit gloomy! After I had a shower, I found that water leaked out from the bathroom. After that, water was all over the place near the bed! Moreover, the bathroom was a bit smelly. The public toilet and bathroom of the hotel were nicer! The lobby of the building is also a bit dark! With the price I paid, perhaps I should not list too many bad points! Afterall, there are good things about this hotel as well!

If you have a limited budget, this hotel may be the choice.
