We came late at night and were pleasantly surprised to see that the hotel looked pretty nice inside compared to the rest of the building it's situated in. The staff was helpful and nice - always ready to help if there is anything. They even served us breakfast on our first day after lunch since we came so late. The only (minor) downside is that they (especially the manager) will try to sell you papyrus and perfumes because the owner of the hotel also owns a papyrus and perfume store - can't blame'em for trying I guess. The hotel is very well situated in the center of a lively shopping area and close to the egyptian museum and metro stations. Be aware that this is an extremely loud part of Cairo. So much in fact that ear-plugs came with our room and they were an absolute necessity due to the noise. But all in all it's a great little hotel with a good character and great staff.
