The place was pretty crowded, but still we managed to get pretty good service and our empty plates/bowls taken. The variety of food was pretty amazing for the price (they had bibimbap, meat, street food, desserts etc.) but the taste was average

This restaurant is one of a chain of Pulipchae restaurants. I ate at the Cheongnyangni location which is on the 7th floor of the Lotte Shopping Center. We entered through the Lotte department store and went up to the 7th floor, then exited out through housewares and turned right and the restaurant was immediately ahead. The restaurant is large, but quite popular, so it was packed the night we went and we had to wait about 20-25 minutes to get in. When we came out there was still a line waiting to get in. This is an all-you-can-eat Korean buffet. You pay a flat fee and they give you a time limit of an hour and 40 minutes. I didn't notice anyone smoking or the smell of smoke in the main dining room, but there are separate non-smoking eating rooms. There were more options here for vegetarians than I have found at either VIPS or Ashleys. The only thing I tried that I didn't particularly like was the chapjae. Usually I'm a big fan of chapjae, but this was greasy and the taste was off a bit. All the rest of the food was good and seemed very fresh, not like it had been sitting on the buffet forever. There was a variety of beverages available to drink and they also had patbingsu (shaved ice and red beans) and ice cream for dessert. There is a large open dining room area, and then there are also several small rooms for groups, or in our case, there were two tables in the room, and we were at one table and a family was at the other on the other side of the small room. A bit like being in a booth next to someone at a restaurant. All of the wait staff were helpful (if not always very energetic or smiling). This restaurant was a great option - easy to find, good food, and reasonable price for an all-you-can-eat buffet. It was worth the wait.
