I returned to this property for a 5 night stay after a good experience here a few years ago, and they lived up to my high expectations. Clean and well-furnished rooms, polite staff and decent location. The value I got from this hotel far exceeded the price I paid.

The room was spotless. Everything looked so well-maintained just like how it was on my last visit. The toilet was well-stocked with essential toiletries and they even had an electronic bidet with seat heating function. The bathtub/shower was really clean and water pressure just perfect. However, one thing that I noticed might be a hazard would be the edges (two of them) of the sink counter being right next to the bathtub. You have to be careful because if you slip and hit the edge, it could get nasty.

The bed was great and I slept very well every single night I was there. The curtains were not 100% blackout ones but did a great job keeping the room dark. The airconditioning was kept between 24-25 degrees in the winter and sufficiently comfortable for sleep. Soundproofing was also good in the room.

I also liked how they only stocked the mini fridge with two complimentary bottles of water and nothing else. This gives me space to put my own drinks and snacks (you can buy from either the many convenience stores or the e-mart super market nearby), as mini bar items are usually overpriced so I don't normally use it.

Staff were very polite and helpful and I want to commend the housekeeping lady who took care of my room during my stay between 12th and 17th February. She was genuinely friendly and very passionate about service. The counter staff were also very professional and during my checkout, gladly obliged in storing my luggage in the store as I had a flight only later that evening.

Location wise, this hotel is not in the CBD or city area, but in an estate where IT companies have their offices. The Guro Digital Complex (구로디지털단지) subway (Line 2) station is a 5 minute walk away and you can get to Gangnam or City Hall/Myeongdong in 30 minutes. Food is plenty as there is a cluster of bars and restaurants (깔깔거리) beside the subway station and this place really comes alive after 6pm.

I will definitely stay here again if I visit Seoul in the future. The price is very reasonable for such a quality accomodation and if you are willing to travel just a little further from town, this hotel will definitely be a good choice.

The Lotte City Hotels offer good value for money. Nice, well run, clean hotels with professional (English speaking, well trained) staff as you might expect from a big brand like Lotte.
The City Hotels aren’t five star hotels, the rooms being a bit smaller and breakfast more down to earth. Then again, they certainly don’t charge a 5 star price.
The Lotte City Hotel is a 5 minute walk away from the subway. Around the hotel you can find many local restaurants and shops. About one hour from ICN by car.
