We enjoyed the 18th Episode. Different flavours in all dishes. An unexpected aspect of the Korean cuisine.
Nothing to compare with daily Korean food.
We get a written explanation of the dishes as we left the restaurant: we would have preferred to get them before as the English of the staff was difficult to understand.
We found the room too noisy and had difficulties to entertain with our friends.

From the moment we were greeted and escorted to the entrance, I immediately understood the night was going to be epic. They served the 17th episode set menu. We choose different options for the past and for the main (I got the seabass, and my friend the korean beef). Each single dish was explained professionally by the staff (some by chef Jun himself). Extraordinary experience. Full set will not be too much, but neither you would like to eat more. Wine list is not huge, but very well balanced. Chef Jun is a very humble person. He spent some time with us discussing about food and his experience. I will for sure be back !!!!!

Unable to book Mingles due to certain reasons, so booked Soigne and tried first time. It was a pleasant surprise meal indeed. Food quality and presentation style is similar to Narisawa in Tokyo.
Enjoyed the full course meal all the way. Seating arrangement for 2 persons were mainly at a square counter where you watch the chefs cooked. For bigger parties, perhaps they will set you a table. Price per head was not outrageous and of course much cheaper than Narisawa. Service was excellent and attentive and the waiter introduced each plate as they come and one plate was personally introduced by head chef/owner. Main plate can add extra money to choose such as Hanwoo or seasonal fish. Otherwise, can go with their daily Iberico pork chop which was very tasty too.
Will revisit next time in Seoul. Also paid USD100 per person as deposit, just like Mingles and Jungsik.

Went to this restaurant last night. The best meal and dining experience I've ever had. It was pouring rain outside, and they started with glasses of hot tea and a blanket for my wife. Five amuse-bouches to start (all delicious), the wines were excellent as was my beer (Flemish sour ale). Every course was amazing.

I think what really made the difference was how well the drinks paired with the food, and how the courses used local (and sometimes ancient) ingredients I'd never heard of, and prepared in novel ways with flavor combinations I didn't know existed. Each course had an explanation of the ingredients (both in English and Korean), and several courses were served by the owner/chef Jun Lee himself.

You'll have to pay a deposit when you make a reservation. Totally worth it, and when you go you'll see why this is done. The meal takes 2+ hours, and there are only 12-15 seats total in the restaurant.

Getting here was a bit of a challenge, as the closest Metro stop is the Express Bus Terminal, and it's a 10-minute walk (from the closest exit, #5) with poor signage. Walk south along the west side of Banpo-daero, turn right on the street after the Aston Martin dealer (Banpo-daero 39-gil), walk up the hill to the T, and turn left. The valet booth says SOIGNE on the top.

Simply amazing.
