Western Coop in Seoul is strategically located near the MTR and the best shopping malls in Seoul. It is clean and spacious and has a little kitchen. Infront of the hotel is a park where you can relax and take a stroll. However, the only downside to this hotel is the breakfast which needs a lot of improvement. Another thing, the cafeteria closes as early as 9:00 am, the time, visitors usually wake up.

Me and my sister stayed here for 7 nights in November 2012, we got the Twin room with 2 single beds and was staying on the 8th floor. After reading numerous reviews regarding this hotel I wasn't expecting much but to my pleasant surprise the hotel exceeded my expectations and more!

The rooms are spacious if you compare to other budget hotels, simple décor, clean and great heating as we went during the winter season. The hotel changes the towels and a quick tidy, empty bins/rubbish everyday but the hotel changes bed sheets and clean-up is every 2 days, for example we stayed from Sat - Sat our cleaning days were mon/weds/fri.

The rooms have a desk area with shelves, table and chairs and a compact kitchen area with microwave, mini kettle, cutlery, fridge etc. the bathroom and toilet was on the small size but good enough. Our shower worked fine you might want to test out the temperature for a bit to warm it up but once it was hot enough it stayed hot and worked fine! The hotel provides slippers, towels, shower gel and shampoo, as for toothbrush and paste remember to bring your own! They also had rice tea bags and coffee sachets :)

The airport bus 6001 from Incheon airport goes to the hotel and stops right outside it cost 14,000won per person which you can buy tickets at the airport just outside at the bus station, when you are leaving to go back to Incheon or other airports (Gimpo) you can wait at the same bus stop outside the hotel and pay the bus driver directly with cash and the bus basically goes back to the airport. The journey both ways was about 1hour and 30mins maximum luckily we didn't experience much traffic.

The location of the hotel is in Dongdaemun, the nearest station is Dongdaemun history and culture park station (when you leave the hotel turn right and walk straight for about 10mins and you should see the station which is at the main traffic crossing) 2 stops away from this station is Myeongdong shopping heaven and also connects to a few other subway lines, please note there is another station called Dongdaemun which connects to subway different lines, there is a convenient store which is 24hrs next door and many of them on the main road. Also right by the station there are many market stalls and a few department stores which stay open very late :)

Overall the hotel was a pleasant stay :) very happy and highly recommend this hotel, I would definitely stay here again!

Overall this hotel was o.k. It didn't look clean, when we got there. The location is good. Its in Dongdaemun is right on the corner. You have everything there. Food, stores and even a hospital and police station. The subway station is on the corner and convenient. The airport bus stops right in front of the hotel, bus 6001. The same bus takes you to the airport. There is a kitchen and fridge and a lot of closets space to put your clothes. Overall its a good place to stay for the surroundings and just lay down for the night.

Good clean biggish rooms, with TV, safe, radio, aircon, small kitchen, desks, pull-out table and 2 chairs. lots of storage space. Laundry and gym onsite (not tested). Helpful staff, great location near Gwangjang and Dongdaemun markets. Reasonable basic breakfast $9 extra. Hint1. Take the airport limo bus, faster and quicker and far less tiring than the subway (trust me, i carried 2 suitcases up too many stairs). Hint2 byo coffee and tea, especially if you like black tea.
In all, would happily recommend this hotel!

I have booked a family room and a twins room for my stay with friends. The family room is very spacious and the TV is very big and new. The location is great too which allows us to visit the shopping malls nearby in the evening and it is also convenient to go to other areas by underground or taxi. The hotel staff are generally friendly and helped us book a jumbo taxi to airport (cost around KRW95,000). One point not particularly satisfied is the temperature of the water in the shower is not stable, not sure if it is due to the floor we stayed in (14/F of a total of 15/F)

This budget hotel was much better than I expected. The rooms were clean, modern and spacious, with every facility we needed. After reading earlier reviews, I had been fearing mosquitoes, but we found none. Bottled water was provided for the first day, but there was a fountain for filtered water in the corridor.
The breakfast was just adequate.
The reception staff were variable: depended who you got, whether they spoke English, and whether they were prepared to go that extra mile.
Airport bus 6001 drops off and picks up at the door, and was very well organised.
The location is good, with a convenience store next door, and shopping centres within an easy walk. The entry to the metro is just at the corner, giving access to a much cheaper way to the airport.
